The Online and Communications Council is chaired by the Australian Government Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. The Council comprises a minister from each state and territory, representing the area of online information and communications services. Local government is represented by the President of the Australian Local Government Association. The Australian Government Minister for Finance and Deregulation is also a member and chairs agenda items relating to e-government.
